Karl Lentini - Director / Writer
Karl began making films at age fourteen with his Dad’s super-8 Elmo camera. After graduating from Boston University’s film school Karl moved to Los Angeles, where he crewed on various film and TV projects. He currently works as a projectionist at NT Audio in Santa Monica. He is proud to present to the universe his first feature film, CLEAVER’S DESTINY.
Jenny Leona di Gennaro as Amy
Jenny Leona di Gennaro began her formal training in 2002 at the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory where she took classes in acting and singing. In 2005 she was accepted into the drama division at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where she continued her classical training. In 2008, at the age of seventeen, Jenny was cast in her first feature film, CLEAVER’S DESTINY, written and directed by Karl Lentini. In 2009, Jenny was the youngest actor to be accepted into group 42 at the Juilliard School. At the end of her first year at Juilliard, Jenny received a full scholarship from the school to attend a summer intensive at Perry Mansfield Performing Arts Center where she was given the leading female role in the comedia show, "King Stag." Jenny is currently enjoying her time at Juilliard and looks forward to entering further into the professional acting world.
Joe di Gennaro - Director of Photography
Joe di Gennaro has had a multi-faceted career in the motion picture business that has spanned more than thirty years. His work in both documentary and narrative filmmaking has earned much recognition, from Sundance to Cannes, to the New York Underground Film Festival. He specializes in Digital Cinema, having written a number of articles for a variety of trade publications, as well as having participated in speaking engagements ranging from the NAB Digital Cinema Summit in Las Vegas Nevada to the Digital Imaging Film Festival in the Kingdom of Monaco. He is extremely proud of his creative contributions to Cleaver’s Destiny, but still considers his greatest lifelong creative achievement to be his children.
Alexis Corey as Norma
Alexis moved to LA in the 90’s to write and perform with the genius sketch comedy group, LaughWorks. She wrote and performed with them for 10 years, in such venues as the Comedy Store, The Icehouse and The Improv. Some of her film and television credits include Strong Medicine, Invisible, Arli$$, Mad TV, Cleaver’s Destiny and recently the 29th Human Right PSA. Her first foray into the world of playwriting landed her in The Beverly Hills Playhouse One-Act Play Festival where she brought audiences to tears and howls of laughter.
Rob Roy Cesar as Roger
Rob Roy Cesar is a native of Buffalo, New York, and has been acting in film, television and on stage for more than ten years. Some of his most memorable film credits include working with Faye Dunaway in ‘Ghosts Never Sleep’, and Robert Miano in ‘LA Cockroaches’. Recent TV credits include the soap opera ‘Wicked, Wicked Games’, and ‘Criminal Minds’. He wrote, produced and starred in the short film ‘Quicksand’, which screens at film festivals across the country.
Luke Sabis as Pratt
Luke Sabis was born and raised in Queens, New York. As an actor, he has performed on the stages of New York and L.A., and has made several TV appearances. Luke is currently in post-production for “Missing Child” which is his feature film directing debut.
